Summary

Boxes at the Pug while Mordecai snores in his own sick: Earth Boxes that hand Donut a scented candle and a cat tree from Amazon, and Carl a $3.99 cactus and eighteen Louis L'Amour Sacketts that make his hands shake. Earth Hobby Potions required by Syndicate law — Scutelliphily for the cat, Cesta Punta for Carl, neither explained. Donut's Book of the Floor Club mails her Clockwork Triplicate, and there are three Mongos.

Ignoring orders, they scout the circus: three dead crawlers left as bait, a sentry lemur Donut kills too loudly, and Carl's 'He's not your child, Donut. He's a pet' — regretted at once. She reports the tents, giraffes and calliope from the roof; he calls her partner and she accepts it.
