Opening
I pulled the rope back into my inventory while I still hung 15 feet off the ground.
Summary
Out by rope as the building falls; a charred glass case with a stuffed horseman in it, picked up because the system made it glint. Daniel Bautista 2, Tigran swashbuckler, sole survivor of twenty, whose quest they ruined and whose sisters they avenged: 'I owe you a debt.' Donut's theory that the guides hate their jobs; Carl's confession that he would have been a forester.
Ten sticks of dynamite ring the swordsmen's warehouse, Katia holds the detonator against mind control, and half the town watches with scythes. Donut will not stay outside: 'You promised me that I wouldn't die alone.' Up the ladder, past the terracotta guards and a soul crystal: 'Not a lich, Mordecai. Not a fucking lich!'
