Carl's jacket of sewn-on patches — twelve flaming arrows in an eagle's claw, a bomb in Spanish blackwork on Spider Reaper silk — and the third floor's Scutelliphily potion, the love of small shields, solved by Donut's expertise. The Plenty's gold benefactor box adds the Midnight Epicure, the Caprid Who Devours the Sky: a ward against vampirism and lycanthropy, sewn crooked over Katia's careful stitches.
