The stairwell town

A large dryad settlement with a stairwell, the last town before the elf border and the meeting point where the guild converges, the raptors kept outside; thousands go down its stairs, Signet waits on a log, and the changeling children play Grand Theft Auto in the guildhall. Overtaken by the brambles an hour and a half after the caravan leaves.
