A double spot on the Desperado Club's wheel of fortune — 'the Nothing sure is something' — and a trapdoor under the roulette table that drops a losing player into a hole full of screams. Carl's spin stops just short of it.

Juice Box jumps into it alone through a permanent portal made from the Gate's winding box; the bijou and demon traps follow, and it breaks — draining into the Halls of the Ascendency, Sheol and Scolopendra's Lair (ch. 87).
