Summary
Looting the gym down to the reception cabinet and a bottle of Johnny Walker Black, then Mordecai's review: bare knuckles do as much damage as any unenchanted weapon, let the high-intelligence party member read scrolls, and Donut is in the wrong body for melee. Carl decides to stick with human, and Donut declares she was born a cat and will die one.
The advice that organises the rest of the book: most of these creatures have a weakness, the throat, the vein, the bugs in the Hoarder's mouth — 'There will always be clues. Look for them.' Then Enchanted Shuriken of Bloodlust (compounding, fragile), the Enchanted War Gauntlet of the Exalted Grull, and a solemn Mordecai: 'There are no gods here. Just those who pay for the privilege.'
