Opening

“There’s nobody on my list,” Donut said.

Summary

Floor Two: cinderblock, white floors, orange lichen, Views 0, Followers 0. The stairwell to floor three is visible on the map at once. Brindle Grubs — the janitors, which grow on what they eat — and Danger Dingoes with corpse-paint faces, which Donut kills with unusual fury and then shreds by hand: cocker spaniels deserve it. Carl starts destroying every corpse.

A storm-shelter safe room with a mailbox that asks why anyone would write to him. Achievements: Bully and a Thief (Agatha's cart; its Bronze Asshole's Box holds three Desperado Club drink tickets), Battlefield Construction (the Goo-Inator 3000), and This Little Piggy Went to Market — a Platinum Shoe Box containing the Enchanted Pedicure Kit of the Sylph. Donut's Book of the Floor Club mails her Second Chance, a necromancy spell she finds disgusting until Carl mentions zombie dogs.
