Chapter 39 — The recap

Book: Dungeon Crawler Carl · Part: The Second Floor · Previous: Chapter 38 — The Rage Elemental · Next: Chapter 40 — Bomb Chicken · Floor: Floor 2 — The Second Floor · Series: the series

Opening

The recap episode started with a close-up shot of Jack’s purple, veined, and uncircumcised

Summary

Views: 212 billion. The recap opens on a close-up of Jack's penis and Donut compares it to Carl's. Imani cannot watch. Two platinum Lucky Bastard Boxes — Like a Moth to the Flame — yield scratch-off tickets: Dungeon Gold Rush for Donut, Fireball or Custard for Carl. Hekla and Brynhild's Daughters and Lucia Mar's four skulls fill the second half of the show, and the replayed attack pauses on the Jug O' Boom recipe, 'Added to the Dungeon Codex' stamped over Carl's mugshot.

The announcement makes safe rooms close an hour before collapse; Brandon and Carl exchange the look that means it is time to give up. The elemental clears the hallway of a thousand grubs in a minute and comes back; grubs do not count as souls. Fifteen pupae near the stairs with ten-hour timers. Carl remembers what Rory said about mobs on stairs, and starts pulling weights out of his inventory.
