Arc
Frenzied Gerbil, level 11, champion of the kobold fighting pits, introduced with a lecture on the Black Death and launched out of a shoebox at Carl's throat (ch. 45). The puzzle is the cages: fourteen wounded Danger Dingoes turned white with pet biscuits eat their masters and one eats Ralph — briefly. Carl's gauntlet stuns him on a two-per-cent chance and he dies under a bare foot, 'Sorry, Ralph' (ch. 45), and the dungeon groans (ch. 46). His arena is the pet reward room where Mongo is found.
