Remex the Grand
Miss Quill's late husband and the magistrate before Featherfall, yanked back from death as a Soul Leech Capacitor — a featherless, smoking skyfowl huddled above the swordsmen's warehouse, storing the soul power of everything that dies in town. Not a lich, not a boss, a bereft minion, and once a crawler: 'a tenner.' He has to tell the whole story before he is allowed to end.

Arc
Not a lich (ch. 23). A Soul Leech Capacitor, level 1, Miss Quill's bereft minion and late husband, huddled above the terracotta guards with a river of soul light pouring into him (ch. 24). His monologue — rehearsed, derailing, 'don't kill me before it's done' — is the quest's real ending, and he weeps when it counts. He was a crawler once, a tenner, and says it is a mercy to die here and not go down there. The blast quest makes him its epicentre; Katia's detonator ends him at the last second (ch. 25, epilogue).
