Character · Book 4, The Gate of the Feral Gods
Denise
A white goose in a bloodied blue bonnet — the Feral Goose Mother, level 53 Borough Boss — Emperor Anser's granddaughter, plucked from the seventh floor through a magical gate and left too long in the Nothing, captured by the gnomes long ago and one of the pets Kane got Bonnie after Sausage. Magic cannot hurt her; the house's own objects can; she fires her teeth like shot. Killed head-first in a garbage disposal with one second on the clock.

Arc
A timed knock-out fight in a falling house with No Magic and No Physical Damage stamped on every mugshot: teeth fired like shot, a mouth that opens like a flower, a health bar that appears only when a thrown mug lands (ch. 16). She is 'an environmental' (ch. 16): only things already in the house can hurt her. Bonnie, mixing lemonade: 'You're so silly, Denise.'
