Character · Book 7, This Inevitable Ruin

Amayon

One of the four crown princes of Sheol — the youngest, Samantha thinks — level 250, betrayed by a brother and expelled upward into the body of a zombie sea serpent during the eighth floor's Demon Eviction: a centaur-pig body, lava skin, a deer's head with four steaming horns and a beak of fire. He wants only to go home; the tithe is a world of souls. Ysalte, his former lover and the mother of his child, enslaves him; a crab, a martyr's steps and a beheading free him. He witnessed the deal that killed Geyrun, and will tell Emberus for the price of three brothers.
