Carl's Doomsday Scenario
A massively overloaded soul crystal shut inside a Sheol Glass Reaper Case: an explosion 'large enough to rattle the teeth of a god,' status Explosion Imminent, un-stabilisable, and in Carl's inventory, where it will detonate the moment it leaves. Progression
Emberus's quest still wants the Soul Crystal — Apito (ch. 2). A soul crystal goes into the bomber (ch. 6); Carl counts the scenario among his growing collection of weapons of mass destruction (ch. 17) and rules it out against a pile of people as too huge (ch. 66); the war mages' zarogoth generator runs on a soul crystal with a capacitor that captures and corrupts souls (ch. 69, ch. 70).
