Someone Donut loved from the moment she first saw him, whom she invokes on her deathbed after the Juicer and in her drunken confession under the Krakaren, and ranks above Carl. Carl asks, 'Who the hell is Ferdinand?' She will not say.

(B1 ch. 23); invoked on her deathbed (B1 ch. 24) and asked about again (B1 ch. 27); loved more than Carl in her confession under the Krakaren (B1 ch. 34); and a guess at who might be watching with Miss Beatrice (B1 ch. 43). She will not say who he is.
