Points, a bridge, a papa, a youth assistant nobody else can see — and, at the party, a ten-year-old Dutch girl named Jill who knew the prime minister, in Lucia Mar's head with other children: 'There are multiple people in there. Real people, mostly kids.' Something to do with the dog and a man named Alexandro, Florin says, and he believes the dog can still control her from afar in short bursts. 'You guys said there were no children crawlers allowed.' 'It's complicated, Carl.'

Series arc

As of book 7. Children in Lucia Mar's head since book 5, a name a Residual takes in book 6; in book 7 they speak: Diah, when the dogs wander off; Alexandro, when they are near; the dark and the cold, a river through their room that hurts to touch, turns taken. Zev: 120,000 in one wing of the kinder facility, and if she goes they all go.

Through book 6

In the epilogue the name Alexandro turns up elsewhere: Parvati, Agatha's friend and fellow agent, number 21, takes it at Mumbai — 'My name is no longer Parvati. I am now Alexandro' (B6 ch. 73).

Florin thinks a bunch of kids are trapped in her head (B7 ch. 72). Diah: Lucia is with Alexandro, who comes when the dogs are close; the rest are in the dark and the cold with a river through their room, and they take turns (B7 ch. 72).
