Place · Book 4, The Gate of the Feral Gods
The Akula
The sea castle: Shamus Chaindrive's great submarine, the size of a small carrier, its nose jammed into the tomb's foot with its torpedo tubes pumping the ocean in, its bridge a Victorian Enterprise with a chandelier, a mural, a brass throne and a twenty-five-foot porthole, its stairwell in the captain's stateroom. Taken by Chris; bitten in half by Lusca at 1,500 metres.

Arc
Named by a rewritten boss card (ch. 9) and taken by Chris — robots, a head in a jar, three missile tubes as exits, a torpedo into the mountain (ch. 14). Five hundred metres down: a torn sail, jellyfish sentinels, a mess hall, hatches dogged shut by someone, an airlock, a boss chamber's fuse box, and a bridge of chandelier, mural, brass throne and porthole (ch. 25, ch. 26). Seven dead on its bridge, six of them changeling principals. Dragged off the tomb, bitten in half at 1,500 metres, swallowed with its stateroom sealed and three crawlers inside (ch. 26, ch. 27). Its shelf is where the real Gate opens (ch. 34).
