'Goddamnit, Donut'

Carl's involuntary catchphrase, said at least fifteen times before Odette makes him say it on air. Marks the moments the cat has done exactly what she was going to do.

Progression

The book opens on one — 'Goddamnit, Donut. We need to talk before we do stuff like that!' (ch. 1) — and Tugboat gets his own (ch. 5). In chat: 'Goddamnit, Donut. Stick to the plan!' (ch. 60); 'Goddamnit, Donut. What did we say about pissing off gods?' (ch. 67); 'Goddamnit, Donut. You can’t help anybody if you’re dead' (ch. 69); 'Goddamnit Donut, get the hell out of there. The god is here!' (ch. 70). Donut, for her part, never did come up with a good catchphrase for the second rottweiler (ch. 79).
