The Tangle's janitor ghouls: seven-foot, chattering, in conductor's suits, who leave you alone if you don't bleed, litter or trespass. They board at station 12, swarm the wrecks at the bottom of the abyss, and are generated at 12 by a soul crystal — the word 'ghoul' on this floor covers them, the Festering, Blister and Wrath kinds, and worse.

The last mercenaries for hire in Hungry Eyes, undead — 'It’s a little late for that' (ch. 26). Caged and swung out on beams from the truck, they hurl Biscuit Packs at the Sugar Hermits (ch. 30, ch. 31), and the hermits take both of them (ch. 32).
