God · from book 6
Asojano
'Also known as the Lord of Smallpox, Asojano is one of the most respected and feared of the Orishas, a former god made flesh upon the rise of the Ascendency' — disease incarnate, who kills and heals, wears a reed hat that makes him bump into things, and came back to a small town in Miami to look at what he once had; his presence drives the ghommids mad. Shrine five of the Thorn Room: repairing it wins the quest and nothing else, 'He's already proven he's too much of a dangerous asshole to let back into the Halls of Ascendency.' Carl flags him as he dies and he becomes a card, then, fused with Uzi Jesus, a golden one. Yemaya's brother.

Book 6 — The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
'You dare speak my name? We only speak through the priest' (B6 ch. 11); he clears the graveyard road and holds his shrine, 'Santero!' […] 'To me!' (B6 ch. 14); 'Betrayal!' when Anton takes Ogun's piece, and a swarm of reanimated armour brings him to his knees — under the grass skirts 'a pale, albino man, wide-eyed and afraid' (B6 ch. 15). Yemaya: 'It is from my brother. He did it on purpose […] Strand himself here, I mean' (B6 ch. 17). As a totem he is 'a complete dick', level 130, undead, seven utility slots (B6 ch. 29, B6 ch. 39); Combined with Uzi Jesus (B6 ch. 34) into Lazarus-A-Bang-Bang (B6 ch. 39), he splits back out gold, 'Lord of Blight – Gold Edition', with a sugar-skull staff, and lays boils on Quan (B6 ch. 58, B6 ch. 60).
