Summary
Mapping the first floor: a grid of squares, four neighbourhoods each, a condensed Seattle. Green slimes eat Carl's glove and jacket sleeve and he has to give up on that quadrant. His idea for covering ground takes them back to the goblins, Goblin Pass held up like a badge; Donut, with a charisma of 37, names the goblins B.A., Face and Murdock and has them lead the way.
In the workshop the shamanka Rory sneers, meets the cat's eyes, sits down and weeps when Donut asks if it is 'a daddy thing'; Lorelai, the one in the bone necklace, sobs about having to eat her father raw. Carl trades two baggies of llama meth for a copper chopper with a sidecar. Rory explains what the mobs know: the floor collapses, they sleep, and one day they will be deep enough that crawlers never come.
