Place · Book 4, The Gate of the Feral Gods
The water quadrant
A ring of sea around the island, half drained when the tomb fills, full of Concierge Sharks, Big Boy Blue jellyfish, pain amplifiers and Nude Glaber corpses, 1,500 metres to the bubble's floor where the light is green and health falls two percent a second. Donut goes in once.

Arc
Sharks and jellyfish from Gwen's shore (ch. 2); the ocean frothing when the Akula falls, half drained, the reef a forest of brambles (ch. 9, ch. 20); two crawlers in a Nautilus-looking submarine, two survivors, only one of whom will not go back (ch. 7, ch. 25). Donut's one visit: 150 metres down, a torrent from the tomb, Nude Glaber corpses, a beluga with a glass spear in her head, a shark playing Jump Around, a feeding frenzy, a kayak (ch. 22, ch. 23). The bottom at 1,500: green light, two percent a second, a dead city boss, thousands of jellyfish overhead (ch. 27). Not drained when the bubble pops.
