Level-50 Dirigible Gnome Flesh Mechanic, Commandant Kane's favourite uncle and Hump Town's hostage for years, chained under city hall, starved and drugged so that he would cast the spell that gives flesh to a ghost. He tricks a stranger into spearing him rather than cast it, and his head, retrieved from a flooding tomb, is raised by Donut to fool his own people.

'If you feed me more, it might kill me this time. I can only hope' (ch. 6). Chained past the quadrant barrier, starved, he tells five strangers the changeling has been torturing him for a spell and that killing him will give them the temple map; Low Thi obliges, and the quest fails inside five minutes. His head, retrieved from the flooding tomb, is raised as a ghoul by Donut on a body of Katia to pass Leon's inspection (ch. 11).
