Series arc

Through book 8

The pit fighter's floor: grabber hands, then a flamethrower (B8 ch. 34, B8 ch. 80). When Hedy tells him that if Carl dies they all die, he sticks himself to the garage ceiling — 'He was so brave, but he was not me' — and Donut talks him down as family (B8 ch. 44); he speaks of his own 'toasty emissions' (B8 ch. 87). In the parade he drives a cabless Tundra with one arm on the wheel (B8 ch. 90); in the arena he leaps through the monsters with the flamethrower roaring, and ends it with his legs off against the wall, gathering the pieces with his mouth (B8 ch. 96, B8 ch. 98).

Through book 7

A giant air-breathing hammerhead, once Signet's tattoo, who has broken three legged harnesses by hopping (B7 ch. 15); he berserks with a skunk wizard in his mouth (B7 ch. 15), rolls down a hill legless and comes up with a mercenary (B7 ch. 31), and arrives at the Madness castle on Katia's spider legs with Velma the flamethrower on his belly: 'A most unexpected development' (B7 ch. 65). He flames honeycombs like a wasp in a hive (B7 ch. 80) and flops home on ruined legs — the fifth set, 'Such woe I have!' (B7 ch. 81). One of the few NPCs who stays (B7 ch. 86).
