Opening

As we waited for my mutant cat to emerge from her blob, I examined my other loot.

Summary

While the blob quivers, Carl reads his loot: the Goblin Pass, free passage through goblin territory; the Nightgaunt Cloak, +4 Constitution and resistance to poison; the Trollskin Shirt, +7 Regeneration and 'one of the best under-armor garments for tanking', says Mordecai; the toe ring, +3 Strength and Powerful Strike. Dressed, his Constitution goes from five to nine and his Strength up by half; Mordecai suggests a monk class. A search for Frogger turns up skill 8, and the basement his mother locked him in. Then a sultry, pompous voice tells him to put pants on before wearing that hideous cloak in public. It is the cat.

Nothing in the chapter is a fight: a man in boxers, a jacket and a cloak dresses himself out of boxes while the cat is a blob.
