Taranis

The thunder god, elder brother of Emberus, Hellik and Eris and husband to his mother Apito, enslaved to a pig by the Snowdrop Curse. Baited into the arena, he tears Krakaren's tentacles off, kills his brother for firing at Penelope — 'Brother, no' — heals the pig and asks her to dinner, spares Carl at her word, and leaves with Krakaren and Samantha, 'two pieces' of his mother, and Prepotente's crystal.

Arc

Elder brother of Emberus, Hellik and Eris, once married to his mother Apito, the pig's protector by curse (ch. 19). Carl's chart of gods marks the lightning (ch. 58); the gun at Penelope's head brings him (ch. 94, ch. 95); he stands over the bug and tears off Krakaren's tentacles (ch. 95, ch. 96). Emberus: 'Brother, no' — a twist of the wrist (ch. 96). Eris: 'Ever since you started fucking Mom'; he takes two of her pieces, Krakaren and Samantha, spares Carl at the pig's word — 'We are not done' — and steals Prepotente's crystal (ch. 97, ch. 98). At the temple with the pieces, missing one (epilogue).
