Team Flamengo's leader on a Slaughter Gnu, a worshipper of Tupa and so barred from the Cabaret; the crawler who carried Apito's memorial crystal from book 5 and Ysalte's after it, both 'wrong'. 'everyone who ever comes in contact with you dies', he tells Carl. His game guide told him never to take a deal on the tenth; alone after Filipe's, he launches at Carl's blast and is killed, stunned at the portal, by Britney — 'A champion has fallen.'

A crawler with a hawk out of a caravan at the castle (B5 ch. 66); on stage at the pet show with Gimli, his stone hawk, for Team Flamengo (B5 ch. 69); named by Donut after the castle battle — a level-60 Curupira ranger — and gone down the stairs with the memorial crystal he took off Queen Imogen's body (B5 ch. 77).

Unaffiliated in the woods with Team Flamengo (B7 ch. 39); his Memorial Crystal: Apito blazes a beacon into the sky he cannot stow — 'Vai pra puta que pariu!' — and the trees grow taller under it (B7 ch. 64). It passes to Prepotente without a fight (B7 ch. 78). He and his team enter the stairwell (B7 ch. 86).

He carried Apito's memorial crystal and then Ysalte's, both 'wrong', and gave the first to the goat; 'everyone who ever comes in contact with you dies' (B8 ch. 41). His game guide told him never to take a deal on the tenth, and a lie about the finish saves his life (B8 ch. 73, B8 ch. 77). Alone after Filipe's deal, every shield on himself, he launches at Carl's blast and is killed, stunned at the portal, by Britney (B8 ch. 80, B8 ch. 83). 'You stubborn idiot, I thought.'

Osvaldo in book 5 — The Butcher's Masquerade

A crawler Carl does not recognise, out of a caravan at the castle with a hawk familiar (ch. 66); on the pet-show stage, a Brazilian of Team Flamengo with his stats in dexterity, presenting Gimli, his stone hawk, who turned a hunter to stone the day before — 'I couldn't loot him' (ch. 69). After the castle battle Donut names him: Osvaldo, a level-60 Curupira ranger who looks like a person. Bianca ate Gimli; he took the memorial crystal off Queen Imogen's body, which Prepotente says he needs against Scolopendra, fought over it, and went down the stairs with a few survivors of his team (ch. 77).

Osvaldo in book 6 — The Eye of the Bedlam Bride

Gimli's owner, a Brazilian Carl does not know, who looted the memorial crystal off Queen Imogen's body — Carl's quest is to get it from him — and who fought Pony and Burcu after Imogen died, then left for the Bahamas (ch. 5, ch. 8). Number eight on the leaderboard, a level 60 Curupira ranger (ch. 8); his squad's first opponent was the Pillsbury Dough Boy (ch. 10); on the recap he does parkour after a monkey with the crystal round his neck (ch. 27); in Brazil he threatens Jurgen over a door and wins a card battle that forces Jurgen to flee (ch. 62, ch. 64).
