Character · Book 8, A Parade of Horribles

Osvaldo

A Brazilian crawler of Team Flamengo, a level-60 Curupira ranger who looks human and puts his stats into dexterity: he brings his stone hawk Gimli to the masquerade's pet show ('He can turn people to stone'), and after the castle battle, Gimli eaten by Bianca, he is the one who takes the memorial crystal from Queen Imogen's body — the thing Prepotente says he needs against Scolopendra — and goes down the stairs with it.

Arc

Team Flamengo's leader on Bruna the Slaughter Gnu, a Curupira now with something wrong with his feet, a worshipper of Tupa and so barred from the Cabaret (ch. 40). He carried Apito's memorial crystal and then Ysalte's, both 'wrong', and gave the first to the goat; 'everyone who ever comes in contact with you dies' (ch. 41). His game guide told him never to take a deal on the tenth, and a lie about the finish saves his life (ch. 73, ch. 77). Alone after Filipe's deal, every shield on himself, he launches at Carl's blast and is killed, stunned at the portal, by Britney (ch. 80, ch. 83). 'You stubborn idiot, I thought.'
