Eris

The goddess of chaos, summoned by battlefield conditions with Nami inside her, who panic-casts Bear Witness and Bring Forth the Witnesses over a whole floor, is balled up with Meatus, and walks free at level 250 when her pilot dies: All Knowing, a wine aunt, half-sister of Taranis. She bites Carl's ear, snaps his pinkie, tells him where the Gate is and that he is 'already married', and turns up in the epilogue at a fuel stop.

Arc

The goddess of chaos comes to Hungry Eyes on a meat cart: level 251, unsponsorable, invulnerable, 'summoned by ', with a toy Uzi Jesus climbing her dress. She wants Carl to ditch Emberus and worship her truly, make nice with Akuma, and let her rough up the surface, and she spits a five-sided coin whose fifth side tattoos his palm (ch. 35). Carl decides she wants devotion, not worship, and that the path is a trap — 'But she did have the right idea' (ch. 71); the AI says it does not like her (ch. 67). In the arena she swaps every inventory, taunts Taranis that four of their mother's five pieces are present, tells Carl the AI is using the pig to play Taranis, and shows her true form on thousands of snake tails: 'I don’t need you to worship me. You are chaos incarnate' and 'Every exit is an entrance' (ch. 97).
