Motif · Book 8, A Parade of Horribles

The deal

Fifteen thousand took it before the floor; 715 of 989 take it before the final heat; 172 more at the eleventh's start — a season as a game guide, medical, a stipend, a gag order, and a stasis nobody trusts. Osvaldo's guide said never on the tenth; Damien begs them to; Quasar says he would not; Penny is offered a 'dungeon born' kind.
