The Desperado Club in book 2 — Carl's Doomsday Scenario

Entered at last (ch. 15): a public first room, a crocodilian on the members' door, privacy bubbles, bots, nine doors — Bitches, Penis Parade, Jobs, the Silk Road, Restrooms, the unlit Guild-O-Rama, Casino and Hunting Grounds, and an unmarked back room — and the same room from every entrance on the floor. Quint's pharmacy; Pustule's booth (ch. 16); a 100,000-gold comp chip for a casino not yet open (ch. 13). Its back room is the only shelter from the blast and Katia has no pass (ch. 24).

Its door is the requirement for a rescue: every gate opens from a Desperado, and a bubble whose entry pub is destroyed cannot be reached (ch. 32, ch. 33). Katia's last hug is at its ground-level entrance (ch. 33). The ninth floor's entrance bar is drowned with the market (ch. 34).
