The gods themselves he now explains freely: retainers, locked deities, Demon Eviction. |
| The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook and its price | The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, Carl | B3 ch. 8 | B6 ch. 22 — The Bahamas Book of Lore is transcribed into it; thirteen authors' notes head the chapters, Herot's Worn Path among them, and the eighth floor proves her right. |

| The AI going primal | The System AI, Mordecai | B4 ch. 28 | B6 ch. 48 — The settlement Orren negotiates on screen is about primal engines and Macro AIs; the AI has therapy and no locks on its doors, and hands most controls back to Borant. Carl: 'there's nothing artificial about it' (ch. 72). |
| Emberus's two quests: who killed Geyrun, and kill Hellik | Emberus, The gods, Carl | B4 ch. 32 | B6 ch. 69 — Amayon was witness to the deal that killed Geyrun and names his price for the story: three brothers. | What the pacifists' yam was really for | The Open Intellect Pacifist Action Network, Porthus, Carl | B4 ch. 35 | B6 ch. 12 — A yam again — potatoes and milk in a faked photo (ch. 13) — on Rosetta Thagra's Shadow Boxer, beside 'Miami'; the Network vanishes with a seized box (ch. 49) and its people are 'fugitives' by ch. 51. |
| The river in Carl's head | Carl, "You're not going to break me" | B5 ch. 8 | B6 ch. 71 — Not quieted but named and used: a spider's fifth eye finds it and dams it (ch. 28, ch. 46), and tattoos herself over it; the Daughter's voice wants him 'reasonably sane'. |

It leaks the producers' debates and files its own action items. |
| The children inside Lucia Mar | Lucia Mar, Florin, Zev | B5 ch. 71 | B6 ch. 63 — Alexandro is now the name a Residual takes at Mumbai; Lucia herself is friendly, then not, and drops five doggie doors that should not exist. |

Mordecai has said only 'my brother died'. |
| A book nearly everyone carries, with a nefarious purpose 'clear later' | The Filthy Little Crawler's Book of Voodoo, The System AI | B6 ch. 40 | Untradeable, indestructible; names added on proximity; Donut refuses to use it. |
