On this floor
Book 7 entire, prologue to epilogue. Faction Wars: a plain the size of a country divided into nine wedges round Larracos, a funnel city of sixty-six rings with a drowned castle at the bottom; ten teams, four phases (a sixty-hour ceasefire, a 180-hour Ramp-Up with no offensive magic or teleports, open hostilities, and the Peeling of Larracos once four teams remain), throne rooms held for six hours, 293 stairwells that open only when the war is won. A Club Vanquisher entered through a stew shack, a Midnight Market, a temple of 433 kinds of bug, a synergy tower called the Nest, gods summoned by battlefield conditions, and a city sent whole to the twelfth floor by a spell called Zerzura. Larracos in the book’s own pages; Shanty Town; the FUPA; the Nest; The arc of the story (book 7).
